Education Law

Aboriginal school boards operate in a complex legal, jurisdictional and cross-cultural environment. They also play an essential part in supporting community schools and teachers in their role to educate their future generation. To support this work, we collaborate with Aboriginal school boards to strengthen their internal governance, such as through the drafting and implementation of by-laws and policies. Our lawyers also provide advice on various questions that arise from time to time: from employment matters, to building regulations, to educational legislative requirements. We also represent our clients in various financial and other negotiations to ensure that the education rights of their students are well protected and supported.
