Madeline Hope-Irwin

Legal Assistant & Paralegal

Madeline lives and works on the unceded territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən People. During her paralegal studies, Madeline took multiple courses on Indigenous and Aboriginal Law and studied the disproportionate over-representation of Indigenous Peoples in Canada’s criminal justice system.

Madeline has recently began her career in law. Prior to joining Arbutus Law Group, she worked as a paralegal at a criminal defence firm. There, she developed an interest of advocacy for human rights and strengthened her commitment to access to justice.

Outside of work, Madeline is an avid animal lover, and is often accompanied at the office by her three dogs and one cat.
