Senior Associate

Erin lives and works on the unceded territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ and Ləkʷəŋən Peoples.
Her practise centres on supporting strong Indigenous governments through law and policy development, contract drafting and negotiation, and dispute resolution in the areas of environmental law, financial administration, taxation, land management, housing, employment, elections and citizenship. She also advises Indigenous non-profits and charities at all stages from start-up through to on-going operations and growth.
She brings to her work a decade of experience working in public interest environmental law, and working for Indigenous governments and organizations on governance matters and other general solicitor’s work. She has particular expertise in marine protected areas, including Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas (IPCAs), and her past work on marine protection law and policy reform aligning with Indigenous laws and sovereignty continues to inform her legal practice at Arbutus Law Group.
