Vancouver Foundation is excited to announce that a new granting stream will open on November 15th — the Indigenous Priorities Granting Program (IPGP). This initiative will support First Nation, Inuit, and Métis communities with $750,000 in flexible, one-time grants to Indigenous-led organizations operating in the lands now known as BC. Grants of up to $50,000 will be available to encourage community inclusiveness, belonging, and healing.
The program is part of Vancouver Foundation’s commitment to Indigenous priorities and is intended to surface and address critical funding and capacity needs. IPGP itself is an Indigenous-led initiative spearheaded by our Director of Indigenous Priorities, Jeska Slater. Jeska, from Fisher River Cree Nation, part of Treaty 5 in Manitoba, has worked in both urban and land-based Indigenous communities for over ten years.
Applications will be open November 15 – 29. Read more about the program on our website.
